Albizia chinensis
📖 About this plant
Albizia chinensis (Chinese albizia or ‘Ghoralanjia’ in Odia, also called Kokko) is a large deciduous tree of the Mimosaceae family. The tree bears bipinnate leaves and clusters of white-pink powder-puff flowers in summer. Wood is moderately hard and used for furniture, plywood, and construction. Leaves are valuable livestock fodder. The tree fixes nitrogen and is extensively planted in agroforestry and for shade in tea and coffee plantations.
