Baltic Blue Pothos
Epipremnum pinnatum 'Baltic Blue'
📖 About this plant
Baltic Blue Pothos is a relatively new and exciting cultivar that has taken the houseplant world by storm. Closely related to Cebu Blue, it features beautiful blue-green, elongated leaves with a distinctive metallic sheen. What makes Baltic Blue truly special is its tendency to develop fenestrations (natural holes in the leaves) much earlier than Cebu Blue — even on smaller, younger leaves. This gives it a Monstera-like appearance that’s incredibly desirable. The blue-green coloration deepens with maturity, and climbing plants produce spectacular large, fenestrated leaves.

🛡️ Health & Safety
Toxic to cats and dogs — calcium oxalate crystals cause oral irritation and digestive upset
Common issues
- Leaves losing blue coloration in low light, lack of fenestrations without climbing support, root rot from overwatering, spider mites in dry conditions, leaf yellowing from cold drafts
💡 Care tips
- Provide a moss pole or trellis for climbing to encourage fenestration — this is the key to unlocking the plant's full beauty. Baltic Blue develops fenestrations earlier and more readily than Cebu Blue. Bright indirect light enhances the blue-green coloration. This is a vigorous grower that quickly fills space. Higher humidity promotes larger, more spectacular leaves with more pronounced fenestrations.
