Cebu Blue Pothos
Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue'
📖 About this plant
Cebu Blue Pothos is a unique and highly desirable variety known for its stunning metallic blue-green foliage. Unlike most pothos with heart-shaped leaves, Cebu Blue has elongated, lance-shaped leaves with a distinctive silvery-blue sheen that shimmers in the light. When allowed to climb a moss pole, mature leaves develop beautiful fenestrations (natural holes), similar to a Monstera — a trait that makes this variety truly special. It’s one of the fastest-growing pothos and can create dramatic trailing or climbing displays.

🛡️ Health & Safety
Toxic to cats and dogs — calcium oxalate crystals cause oral irritation and digestive upset
Common issues
- Leaves losing blue sheen in low light, no fenestrations without climbing support, root rot from overwatering, spider mites in dry conditions, leaf yellowing from inconsistent care
💡 Care tips
- Provide a moss pole or trellis to encourage climbing — only mature climbing leaves will develop fenestrations. The blue metallic sheen is most intense in bright indirect light. This is one of the most vigorous pothos varieties and can quickly fill a large space. Higher humidity promotes larger, more spectacular leaves. Regular pruning keeps growth manageable.
