🌿Hawaiian Pothos

Hawaiian Pothos

Epipremnum aureum 'Hawaiian'

Indoor Plants Difficulty: Easy Air purifying

📖 About this plant

Hawaiian Pothos is the giant of the pothos family, producing some of the largest leaves of any pothos variety — often reaching 30+ cm (12 inches) in length on mature climbing specimens. The variegation is bold and dramatic, with large splashes of yellow-green contrasting against deep green. When given a moss pole to climb, this variety becomes absolutely magnificent, with leaves that can rival small Monstera in size. Its vigorous growth makes it one of the fastest trailing vines available, capable of creating dramatic cascading or climbing displays in a single growing season.

💡 Care tips

  1. Provide a moss pole or trellis to unlock its full potential — climbing leaves grow dramatically larger than trailing ones.
  2. This is a vigorous grower that needs regular pruning to stay manageable.
  3. In ideal conditions, vines can grow over 30 cm per month.
  4. The bold variegation is best maintained in bright indirect light.
  5. An excellent choice for large rooms and high ceilings where it can climb freely.
