Maiden Grass
Miscanthus sinensis
📖 About this plant
One of the most popular and spectacular ornamental grasses, forming large, upright, arching clumps of narrow green leaves with a prominent white midrib. In late summer, it produces stunning silvery-white to pinkish plumes that rise above the foliage and persist through winter, catching the light beautifully. The foliage turns golden-bronze in autumn. A magnificent specimen plant for borders and screens.
