Titan Arum
Amorphophallus titanum
📖 About this plant
The Titan Arum produces the largest unbranched flower structure (inflorescence) in the plant kingdom, capable of reaching over 3 meters tall. The massive, maroon, frilly spathe surrounds a towering spadix. When it blooms (rarely, every 7-10 years), it produces an overwhelming odor of decaying flesh, earning it the nickname Corpse Flower. The single enormous leaf resembles a small tree and lasts several months before the plant goes dormant.
